About the Bands:
BLAME THE WHISKEY
Blame The Whiskey is an original Americana band from New England. The group was founded in April 2017 by David Alex-Barton and Rebecca Burke. David is the former lead singer and guitarist in the popular Boston 80’s punk rock band The Outlets. Rebecca is a Boston area musician and vocalist.
Initially, they were looking to form an acoustic trio and added Stephen Gilligan, bass player for the legendary Boston band The Stompers. However, as the trio took off, they realized something was missing. So, the group brought in Dave Hoitt, to play cajon and drums. Dave is a Boston area drummer and former drummer for the San Francisco band Rug Doctor. In 2019, the band added their fifth and final ‘Whiskey Blamer’, Alex Sennett. Alex is a Boston area guitarist and former lead guitarist for the Ashley Jordan band.
Blame The Whiskey’s sound is big and unique. They are very well received, by local audiences, for their distinctive style and energy. Blame The Whiskey performs covers of Country/Americana tunes as well as several original songs. You can check out their tunes at www.blamethewhiskey.com
NEW CITY COWBOYS
The New City Cowboys are a group of country music lovin’ life long friends based, of all places, just south of Boston Massachusetts. They loved the new music coming out of Nashville so much that they formed New City Cowboys as a way to bring that “New Nashville Sound” to the Boston area. Their goal is to make sure that you have as good a time listening to their music as they do performing it for you!
The New City Cowboys are: Jim and Joe Armstrong, Dave Morse, David Croce, and Ian Campbell. All the guys have honed their craft as part of Boston’s South Shore best working bands, including The Fat City Band, the Armstrong Brothers Band, The Infractions, and The Keepers.
Now, with The New City Cowboys, they perform country music they love from the likes of Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean, Eric Church, and many others, as well as several of their original country songs.
You can also find them backing up the area’s favorite up-and-coming young Country artists for featured appearances. Check them out at www.newcitycowboys.com.
