Kingston Collection presents sensory-friendly photo sessions with Santa
Kingston, MA— Kingston Collection is presenting Santa Cares on Sunday, December 2nd from 9:30AM-11:00AM, welcoming children with all spectrums of special needs to a photo environment supportive of their sensory, physical and developmental needs. The event is held prior to mall hours to try to help lessen behavioral triggers associated with malls at this bustling season of the year. Kingston Collection wants every child to be able to enjoy the magic of the holiday season and have the opportunity to get their photo taken with Santa. Because of this, extra care has been taken to support the sensory, physical and other developmental needs of children so they can enjoy this wonderful holiday tradition.
The nationally recognized Santa Cares event will take place at the Santa Photo Experience in Center Court, in partnership with Autism Speaks, AbilityPath.org, and Cherry Hill Programs, a leading digital event imaging company providing the Santa Photo Experience at venues across the nation.
“Many children with special needs have never had the opportunity to experience the joy and tradition of a magical visit with Santa. That’s why we are participating in Santa Cares, to create a compassionate, welcoming environment. We will open prior to public hours and create a calmer atmosphere by dimming lights, muting music and fountains. Families will enjoy fun activities while anticipating their private visit, instead of waiting in lines that make some children anxious,” said Lindsay Hurley, Marketing Director at Kingston Collection.
